Time for something completely different. Or so I thought when I picked Teal Haviland’s “The Reaping Chronicles: Inception” out of my ‘to read’ list. It’s been a very long time since I read anything with angels in it (the last time I tried the plot holes were so ginormous I couldn’t finish reading that novel) and I’d been following “Inception” on Facebook for some time.
Woot! I’m still struggling to finish up “Toxic Ash” in the midst of many obstacles but I’ve got something sweet to tide you over in the mean time. A little horror short, “Insomnia,” currently available (for the first time) absolutely everywhere – thanks to Draft2Digital.
It’s one of those nights, Clara wakes unto darkness in the fits of her usual insomnia, everything is a fog around her as she becomes more and more awake. When you’re this groggy – your mind plays tricks on you
I tried to make it free everywhere – unfortunately, thanks to various agreements that are totally out of my hands, I was unable to do so on Amazon and Barnes&Noble where it’s .99 cents. Hopefully Clara’s horrible sleepless night will make up for the tinsy disappointment.

Another book launch under my belt, another year old, new banner for the site, ‘nother new banner for the site, new signature, lots of promotion, new cold and another dip into the top #100 Free Kindle Titles for all of three days to show for it.
Well folks, it’s finally that special day! The day when I get a year older (hiss! boo!) the day I release a new book and the day I give away hundreds of copies.
I am in the middle of fighting off the usual round of crippling sickness so I can push the final edits of “In the Absence of Famine” through for the book launch on the 24th. Which means, few and spotty blog posts, as well as, FREE ebook giveaways.
Today’s an extra special day. I’ve reset my body clock be completely backwards! I could have posted this blog live at 8 a.m. instead of using the schedule function but that would be the actions of woman still within shouting distance of sanity. Also – the “In The Absence of Famine” book cover is done!
The holidays have me surrounded. I’m losing sleep trying to figure out newsletter software, how to become a marketing genius in 3 days or less, and my family is calling constantly because they’re feeling neglected and lonely (which is only right since I forgot all about them… sometime in September) all while I try to keep a clear head and edit on. All of this has lent me to think that maybe the world could use some awesome .99 ebook gift recommendations! Because if there’s anything I love more than ebook publishing it’s sharing the love for quality cheap ebooks.
